I Jornada Malacitana de Estudios Antárticos. La Antártida como indicador de Cambio Global.

Han sido tres días muy productivos en cuanto a conocimientos a cerca de la Antártida, ese gran desconocido para muchos, y sobre todo de lo que allí se hace. Además de haber tenido a unos grandes ponentes hablando de todo ello.

It has been three days very productive in terms of knowledge about Antartic, the great unknown to many people, and especially what it is done there. Besides we had some great speakers talking about all this.

Anillamiento de Paseriformes Estación de Manecorro E B Doñana // Banding Passeriforms Manecorro Station E B Doñana.

Durante diez días (del 26 de Septiembre al 5 de Octubre de 2008) pude colaborar como voluntaria en la Estación de Anillamiento de Aves en Migración de la Estación Biológica de Doñana (Manecorro), anillando Paseriformes.
Ha sido una gran experiencia, que completaré con un trabajo para la universidad sobre el Anillamiento Científico de Aves.

Saqué pájarillos de las redes, anillé, monté redes, madrugué mucho, nos llovió. Incluso tuve la oportunidad de sacar una especie rara de la red (Ficedula parva) y ver otra rara que cayó en otra red (Phylloscopus inornatus). Y sobre todo aprendí un montón de identificación, que no es nada fácil.

Me habría quedado una semana más.

For ten days (from 26 September to 5 October 2008) I collaborated as a volunteer at the Bird Banding Station on Migration in the Biological Station of Doñana (Manecorro), banding Passeriforms.
It was a great experience that I will complete with a writen work in the university about the Scientific Bird Banding.

I removed birds from the nets, I made ring nets, I woke up very early, it rained. I even had the opportunity to found in the network a rare species (Ficedula parva) and see another rare species that fell on another network (Phylloscopus inornatus). And above all I learned a lot of bird identification, which is not easy.

I would have stayed another week more.
